Workplace designs greatly impact the productivity of employees and it is driven by changing work styles, technology and and the growing presence of millennials. Millennials are those born between the early 1980s and the early 2000s. These individuals are considered to be very tech-savvy, ambitious and they have different working styles. Therefore, they are more efficient and productive sitting in a lounge or in a café than being in a traditional office setup.
Today, more companies that are being run by millennials are offering more flexible and unconventional workspaces. Being collaborators, they have a lower demand for privacy that is why they prefer to work in spaces wherein they do not have to isolate themselves. Workspaces in this generation gives more importance to utilization and efficiency. These new workspaces encourages its employees to be more creative and productive.
